Radiohead has released a statement regarding the stage collapse that took place before the group's show and killed drum technician Scott Johnson and injured three other crew members.
The statement said that the collapse destroyed many of their light show and stage set-ups, with many of the parts being decades old. Time will be needed to replace them, thus forcing the band to postpone seven upcoming European tour dates. The band will announce we dates June 27th and will also be offering information for the fans who will be unable to attend the rescheduled shows and will look for refunds.
The Canadian Ministry of Labour also identified four companies that are responsible for the stage collapse, including Ticker Tape Touring LLP, Optex Staging and Services, Nasco Staffing Solutions and Live Nation.
Ministry spokesperson Matt Blajer told the Toronto Star, "We’re still trying to figure out who owns what, who’s responsible for what... You’ve got lighting technicians, sound technicians, the band’s people — we’re trying to figure out who worked for whom."
