The Rockstars of New Media - ‘New Heights’ Is Coming To Malaysia!
New Heights is a band from Federal Way, WA (USA). The band, made of lead vocal Travis Graham, guitarist Chris Kwak, guitarist Park Kiyung, bassist Tyler Carroll, and drummer Bobby Walker, has released three studio EP’s to their credit, and their first full-length album, “Something to Believe In” was released on September 2011.
Their first single “Peaches” gained fame when it was featured in a short film titled “Love Language” by the Jubilee Project. The film gained attention when it was released virally and this led to many different variations by other filmmakers, all featuring the track by New Heights. All together, the “Love Language” inspired videos featuring “Peaches” has over 8,000,000 views on YouTube.
Love Language (Original):
Last year, New Heights was invited to be part of the highly popular
International Secret Agents (ISA) concerts series that included names such as
Far East Movement,
Wong Fu Productions,
Sean Kingston,
B.O.B,
Jay Park,
David Choi,
AJ Rafael,
Ryan Higa,
Kevjumba,
Clara Chung and many other YouTube stars. This opened up a whole new fan base and opportunities for the band, who then went on tour with Clara C, traveling all over the United States. Despite the newfound success, the band remains humble, advising aspiring musicians to maintain their professionalism and to always strive for more.
In line with M.E Malaysia’s continuous effort to bring more talented artistes to Malaysia’s shores, we are excited to have New Heights performing in Malaysia this coming July. This marks New Heights’ first overseas appearances. The band anticipates support from their Malaysian fans and live music fans who appreciate raw talents.
