Frank Ocean's upcoming album, "Channel Orange", made many entertainment outlets speculate that Ocean was homosexual. Mainly because some of the songs on the album seemed to be about a relationship between two men.
In response to this, Ocean posted a long and emotional letter on his tumblr, addressing the rumors.
To summarize the post, Ocean fell in love with a male friend four summers ago, when Ocean was 19. Ocean stated that the love for his companion was hopeless, and despite confessing his feelings for him, the friend never spoke about his own feelings. The fate of the relationship wasn't revealed, but the friend apparently opened up about his real feelings after another 3 years.
