Demetria 'Demi' Devonne Lovato was born on August 20, 1992. She made her official acting debut as a child actress on two seasons of the popular kids show 'Barney and Friends' along side Selena Gomez.

She later went on to appear in the short segment 'As the Bell Rings' on Disney Channel as Charlotte Adams and some of her original songs were features on the show.

Her big break was for another Disney project, the TV film 'Camp Rock' where she starred as Mitchie Torres, a 14 year old that aspires for a singing career. The success of the movie made her a household name and allowed her to release her first album 'Don't Forget' in September 23, 2008.

After her second studio album 'Here We Go Again', she filmed Camp Rock 2 and later held her second headlining tour before joining the Jonas Brothers as a special guest on their tour.

On November of last year, Demi went into an inpatient rehab facility due to cutting and eating disorder problems, she completed her treatment in January 28, 2001 and then headed home to continue with her personal recovery up until April, when she slowly got back to work and opened up to the press about her eating disorder and her being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

She's now busy at work with her third studio album, currently untitled, and receiving great success with her first single release since exiting rehab, 'Skyscraper'. Close
